Ledger N3XT Program Launches at Ledger Op3n: an Initiative for the Next Generation of Builders, Educators & Leaders

• Hailing from the most prestigious universities in the world, these hand-picked students  represent the future of the industry.
• Ledger N3XT is an education-focused program that spans across the world, fostering engagement and sparking inspiration on-campus and beyond.

On October 23rd and 24th, 25 student leaders from 12 major universities attended Ledger Op3n, witnessing first-hand talks, inspiring activations and networking with peers and leaders. The two-day experience gave the curated group of top blockchain club leaders from around the world a unique experience in immersion, discovery, and connection with Ledger.

As part of our education strategy, Ledger N3XT, we welcomed this group of future leaders the chance to explore the world of digital sovereignty and security. The students were hand-picked due to their influence, engagement and long-term potential in the industry—those likely go on to be some of the most celebrated leaders in our space. As such, presidents and VPs from major blockchain clubs at the most prestigious universities in the world, including Cambridge (UK), Oxford (UK), Yale (US) and Harvard (US), were invited to join this unique experience, enjoying an exclusive insider look into the blockchain & digital sovereignty space.

However, the aim of bringing these students together stretched much further than watching product announcements: it was about sparking connections, introducing them to Ledger’s long-term mission and inspiring them to reach their goals.

Two days of immersion, Education & Connection

Joining Ledger in Paris, they descended on Ledger Op3n, the audio-visual in-person event designed to capture milestones, announce innovative products, and set the tone for the state of crypto as we know it. As part of the historic event—the first Ledger Op3n in the new HQ—the group of selected students were given a completely unique experience tailored to spark their interest and future development in blockchain and digital sovereignty.

Throughout the two days, the students got a VIP tour of our HQ, experienced private Q&As with Ledger experts, participated in panels and speeches, and even got to see the Ledger Donjon—the home of Ledger’s highly elusive white hat hackers and high-level physical hacking equipment. But beyond gaining blockchain education and behind-the-scenes information, there were also plenty of chances to network with their peers at other universities at exclusive student-focused events, such as a private dinner in a French restaurant, a coffee afternoon, and an afterparty on Friday night. Not only did these experiences foster an environment of collaboration and inspiration, but also help create cherished memories of a shared moment unlike any other.

Ledger N3XT: Long-term educational partnerships empowering the next generation

Students at Ledger Op3n was just the beginning of Ledger N3XT, the long-term program aiming to inspire and support the next-generation of web3 and digital sovereignty leaders. 

In short, Ledger N3XT aims to support students at universities all over the world to strengthen academic leadership, expand learning experiences and drive local education. To actualize this mission, Ledger N3XT will provide participating universities with tailored educational content, research & development opportunities, on-campus events, and access to resources universities may not be able to offer themselves.

And it’s not just specific to universities either! Ledger N3XT also supports blockchain clubs: initiatives by students, for students. As part of this commitment, Ledger N3XT provides educational materials and support for events, such as giving organizers access to thought leaders and industry experts. It also offers potential perks for community members, such as devices, accessories and tickets to significant industry events. 

By supporting these future leaders, Ledger N3XT hopes to inspire the next generation of builders and founders to realize their goals; from conceptualization, to exploration, to creation—all while providing a comprehensive education in security and fostering collaboration with the most impressive minds of their generation.
